In 1981, Bill Williams made his first clients a simple promise: he would carry the weight of their financial worry so they didn't have to. No jargon. No confusion. Just a trusted advisor who treated their money like it was his own family's — because to Bill, it was. That single promise, kept consistently for over four decades, became Freedom Point Financial Services.

Bill built his career the old-fashioned way: by earning it. A Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter, he spent years not just serving clients but training the next generation of advisors as a securities and insurance course instructor, and later as a board member and communications director for the Financial Planning Association. In 1991, a decade into his career, Bill adopted a scientific, evidence-based approach to investing through Dimensional Fund Advisors — a philosophy grounded in academic research rather than market predictions. It became the intellectual backbone of the firm, and it still is today.

But Bill's real legacy was never the philosophy. It was the families. Generations of Arizona families who never had to lie awake worrying about their money, because Bill was doing the worrying for them.

In May of 2015, that legacy found its next chapter. Bill's son, David, left a successful career built at Charles Schwab and USAA to join his father at Freedom Point — not to inherit a business, but to earn the same trust his dad had spent decades building. David became a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional, earned his Accredited Asset Management Specialist designation, and completed a master's degree in finance, all while learning the part of the job no credential can teach: how to make a family feel like their financial life is truly, completely taken care of.

Today, David leads Freedom Point Financial Services as President, carrying forward the same promise his dad made in 1981 — updated for a new generation of clients, but unchanged at its core. Bill's fingerprints are on every plan this firm builds: the discipline, the evidence-based philosophy, the belief that a good advisor's real job is to absorb worry, not create it.

Bill has stepped back from day-to-day client work to enjoy the retirement he spent his career helping others achieve — time with his wife, Nancy, their two sons, and four grandchildren, hiking the Arizona high country, and (fittingly) an R.V. adventure or two along the way. As Founder Emeritus, his name remains on the door, his philosophy remains in every plan, and his legacy remains the reason families have trusted this firm since 1981.

That's the story behind Freedom Point. Not a company. A promise, now in its second generation.
